Paul Rothwell Smith

Paul creates new work every year for Bilborough Arts Festival. 
 

Mixing modern references with Victorian styles, he adds little surprises, being as original as possible. He is inspired by old films and photographs and often incorporates local landmarks. 
 

He studied Art & Design at College in Nottingham in the early 1990s and has had exhibitions in Wales and England; painting and selling portraits for over 25 years.  

He is a film historian and has had 3 books published on silent film performers.  

He has worked as an Occupational Therapy assistant in the NHS, as an Activities Coordinator with My Sight and currently works for Oxfam.
