Ever heard any kind of drumming and felt your whole body become so energised that you just want to dance?  Well, fight the urge no more! We invite you to attend this unique workshop featuring two of Nottingham’s most popular drumming and dance artists. 

 

Join Jude Winwood from Nottingham’s very own drumming, dance & world music workshop company, BeatFeet, to explore intrinsic links between African style drumming and dance. Create your rhythm and then find the dance steps to go with it! 

 

Leading the dance section of this exciting workshop will be Charmaine Daley - a dancer and choreographer gifted with vibrant energy and a natural, creative flair. You’ll draw on dance styles from regions across the world, such as Africa, India. the Caribbean and East Asia.  Nottingham is a melting pot of cultures so let’s celebrate this through our collective drumming and dance!
