Saturday 25th June
Family Arts Day and launch event, 11am-3pm

Join us for the Launch event in and around Bilborough Library. Family arts activities, including drumming, drawing, painting, storytelling and clay! Facepainting, stalls and music. 

Lit Theatre presents 'Walking Stories'

12noon Bracebridge Drive (10 min show)... walk with us for a second performance at 12.30pm Birch Park Community Hub

repeated at 2pm and 2.30pm. 
 

Sunday 26th June
Cool Jazz, 2pm

Spend a delightful afternoon at St Martin's, a beautiful medieval church, with relaxing music from Cool Jazz. Refreshments available for a small charge. Tickets £5 (£3 concessions). Please email: wendy.bilborough@gmail.com 

Monday 27th June

Knit and Crochet Group, 9.30am-12noon

Regular weekly group at Bilborough Library - welcome to all!

And Sew it Begins, 9.30am-3pm 

Regular weekly drop-in craft day at Bilborough Library and Community centre. 

Nepalese Music, 12noon-1pm 
Gurkha Kitchen, 131 Glaisdale Drive

Come along and listen to traditional Nepalese music. The bar will be open to buy hot and cold drinks (the restaurant is closed at lunchtimes). 

Tots Time, 2pm-2.30pm

Regular group at Bilborough Library.

Brocklewood Primary, Afterschool exhibition, 3.30pm  

Fircroft Community Garden, (opposite the school main entrance).

Local community and parents are invited to come and see artwork created by all children in the school including large canvas banners and lots of clay pots!  

Youth Drama, 4pm-5.30pm 
A regular weekly group at St Johns Church. Improving skill, boosting confidence, learning about different techniques, performing and improvisation work for secondary age.  Contact Kat for booking on 07765 811406, suggested donation £1.

Local Artists' Exhibition, 9am-6pm

A range of work from artists of all ages, including watercolours, drawings, acrylics and oils.

Pop in to the cafe, and have a go at making a nature wand! (Free)

Oak Field School Exhibition, 9.30am-11am 

Wigman Road, NG8 3HW

View artwork created by students, whilst enjoying refreshments at The Welcome Cup Café.  The work of artist Joan Miro ‘The Colour of My Dreams’ was the inspiration for the work created. 

During the past academic year, the school has worked with many inspirational venues and artists from the Lakeside theatre, Southwell Minster, Bamboozle, Jingah and freelance musicians and artists from Europe and the UK. Their latest project was an exhibition inspired by the RSC schools project ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’, where the local community attended an interactive exhibition.

 

DiY Plant Pots, 12noon-2pm
Join the team at Bilborough Food Bank and have a go at making your own upcycled plant pots from plastic bottles and tin cans! 

Film showing, 2pm
Lincoln Court, Staverton Rd 
Come along and enjoy an afternoon film, a 1930s classic. (Free) 

 

Community Meal, 5pm 
St Johns Church.  A regular opportunity to come together.  

Thursday 30th June

Little Sparks Toddler Group, 10am-11.30am
Regular group at St Johns Church

 

Community Cafe, 1pm-3pm 
Regular group at St Johns Church Hall. 
Enjoy a warm welcome and have a go at some calming art activities. 

Youth Dance, 4.30pm-5.30pm
A new regular weekly group, a place where young people can come and be part of a dance class. Mainly the styles of hip/hop and street dance.  Aimed at secondary age. Contact Kat for booking on 07765 811406, suggested donation £1. 

Heritage Walk, 7pm-8.30pm

A walk covering Bilborough’s history from 43AD, when it was a small village, to the Bilborough of today. About 1.5 hours starting and finishing at St Martin’s car park on St Martin’s Rd. 

Please check the weather forecast. Paved surfaces throughout so fully accessible. Free!

 

Friday 1st July

DiY Plant Pots, 12noon-1.30pm
Join the team at Bilborough Food Bank and have a go at making your own upcycled plant pots from plastic bottles and tin cans!

 

Chat and Craft, 10am-12noon 
Regular group at Bilborough Library!

Family Junk-modelling, 3pm-5.30pm  
Birch Park Community Hub
Using recycled materials, have fun and get creative! All ages welcome to take part. Children must be accompanied. Free and no need to book. 

Saturday 2nd July

Bilborough Islamic Centre Open Day, 11am-3pm

Come and visit the newly-renovated Islamic Centre and mosque to meet, connect and try some delicious food. This event will be opened by the Lord Mayor of Nottingham, Councillor Wendy Smith.
