As well as an annual festival, we support community creativity all year round and can put you in touch with projects and organisations; or help bring ideas to reality in partnership with local schools and artists.
We're pleased to announce a new collaboration with Lit Theatre Company based in Bilborough, who are delivering Arts Awards in 4 local primary schools and beginning a new Walking Stories project, gathering memories and objects about local heritage.
Before lockdown in 2020, a new weekly youth music project began at St Johns Church, with young people coming together to explore songwriting and instruments after school with thanks to Josh Sims, Kat Wade and the team of musicians at Woven.
It was brilliant because it brought a lot of people together that you wouldn't normally meet. We had a film show at Lincoln court, and bringing people together is what it's all about. We went to the workshops with mosaics and it was superb. We all looked at each others work and encouraged each other" Lincoln Court Resident.
Fircroft Community Garden (opposite Brocklewood School) is a new space, available to the school children for outdoor learning and creative projects. Artist in Residence, Shamila Chady, has been working with families to create nature themed resources to share with you all!
